Who are the people behind Papillons Entertainment?
-Thanks for asking! I'm Jenna and I am the founder of Papillons Entertainment. I have been captivating
young audiences for many years now as a children's party performer in
the greater Los Angeles area. I have a degree in Theatre from the University of Maryland,
Baltimore County, and I have also studied dance, art, and music for most of my
life. Additionally, I have studied childhood development and
behavior. I have taken great pride in seeking out and only using the most fabulous guys and gals, who also have years of experience working with and teaching children as well as performing professionally, and who also share my vision of inspired, imaginative, and inventive entertainment. We're all young, enthusiastic, talented, and engaging; we will WOW your child and his or her guests by creating a fantastic party that they will always remember! P.S. It is a small world after all, so please ask if you are in need of someone who speaks a second language; currently, we have entertainers who can speak Spanish, Korean, and some Armenian and French.
Where are you located and how far will you travel for a performance?
-We are located centrally right in the heart of Los Angeles. We have traveled as far North as Santa Barbara, as far East as San Bernadino, and as far South as Dana Point. We are happy to make the drive to your event, however, there will be additional travel fees calculated into any bookings tthat take place outside of a 20 mile radius from our home-base. How far in advance should I book my party entertainment?
-It is best to book
the entertainment for your event at least 3 weeks in advance.
This will help you to have a better chance of booking the date/time you
desire, as well as will allow us enough time to properly prepare for
your party. We do have last minute cancellations and rescheduling from time to time, so please feel free to call us even if it is last minute -- we promise to do are darn-didlee-arndest to fit your event into our schedule.
What do you charge for your party services?
-Rates vary by party
theme/activities and length of time booked for entertainment
services. Please call or email to discuss your ideas and receive a
precise quote; we work with budgets both big and small!
How do I book the entertainment I want? Do you need a deposit and/or contract?
-To book entertainment, please call or email with the date of your event, the time at which you'd like your entertainment to begin, how long you would like the entertainment to last, and the city in which your event will take place. We will check the availability of the entertainment you desire; together, we will agree upon the start-time of the entertainment and place your reservation. Next, we will gather all the pertinent information and then either fax or email to you a booking contract which we will have you send back to us with a deposit (this amount varies depending upon the entertainment you book -- it is non-refundable, however, it can be used toward a future event if you need to cancel or reschedule).
Should we tip our entertainer?
-We like to say that gratuities are accepted, but never expected, so we'll leave it up to you -- if you loved your entertainer and would like to tip, please feel free to do so at your discretion.
What happens if the forecast calls for rain? Can our entertainer perform indoors? Would we need to reschedule?
-We suggest having a back-up location nearby to your original party location if it should rain during the event. If you are planning on having the entertainer perform in your yard, it is no problem to move the party indoors if needed; for the most part, we can work in whatever space you give us. If you are having the party at a park, you may want to reserve a room in the rec. center (f your park has one) especially during the rainy season of December to April. We can also reschedule your event to another, mutually agreed-upon, available date and time.
Will our entertainer be able to include all of the kids at the party?
-This is a great question! Our entertainers do a great job of entering the party in a very commanding, charming, and cute way and then do their best to round-up all of the kids to participate. With that said, there will always be at least one or two kids who will either be shy, scared, or "too cool" to play along, but your entertainer will be welcoming and encouraging throughout his or her time at your party and will, more than likely, have something in their repertoire of activities for everyone.
*Please also note that if you plan on having a bouncer at your event, that even the best entertainers may have a hard time coaxing the kids out of it to play with him or her; if you want your entertainer to be "the star of the show," we recommend at least deflating your bouncer while he or she is playing with the kids.
Do you offer other services in addition to interactive/creative party entertainment?
-Yes! Goodie bags,
contest prizes, and other special gifts are available and price quotes
for these items are provided as requested.

phone or email, and tell us what you're interested in doing. We're always adding new ideas and characters to our bag o' tricks, so let's try to put something unique together for you and your child's
